Restaurants

There is a relatively new vegan place in Uppsala, called Vegano's. I thought I would pay them a visit recently, since it is fun to try and support new places. I had their vegan pea soup with coconut milk, served with garlic bread and salad.

I recently went to a restaurant in Stockholm called Magnolia, located at Södermalm. It was a friend of mine, Sofia (who is also a part of @veganstudenter) who made the suggestion. We had their lunch; I chose the vegan bao buns (one with portobello, sriracha, soy, suger peas, spring onion and coriander, the other with fried tofu, coconut sauce,...

I and a friend of mine recently visited the plant-based/vegan brunch at the Radisson Blu Hotel located in Solna, near Hagaparken. We had heard about it through social media and were very eager to try it. It was 395 SEK and our expectations were quite high since we had heard so much about it.

The Vietnamese restaurant called Mihn Mat, located right by Vasaparken in Stockholm, is a very popular spot for both lunch and dinner. It is often difficult to get a table, especially to have lunch. One of the reasons that they are so popular, besides offering excellent food, is probably that they have several vegan options on the menu. I know...

Trying to stick to a vegan diet can be hard sometimes, especially when going out to eat. Or let me put it this way; it is hard if you do not know where to go. I find it quite easy nowadays since I only send the restaurant an e-mail beforehand or ask them when I arrive. I have never experienced...

On the regular menu, they only had a vegetarian option; a beet salad with goat cheese, spicy avocado and a cress crème. The vegan alternative was thus to not add the goat cheese....

I just love Miss Voon, so when I was invited to have dinner at Mr Voon I was quite excited. Miss Voon is more of a tapas sort of place, whereas Mr Voon serves their food in "regular" sizes. It did not say on the menu that they had vegan options, but when I asked them they told me that...

I recently went to have dinner at Nalen at Regeringsgatan 74 in Stockholm. Nalen, or Nationalpalatset as it used to be called, used to be 'the' place for jazz musicians in Stockholm - and who does not love jazz, right? I was there to see Postmodern Jukebox and had dinner at the restaurant before the concert began.

A friend of mine told me about this restaurant in Stockholm called Kale & Crave and we decided to visit them a few days ago. As far as I understand, they always have a vegan option on the menu. When we were there they offered a vegan beet fricadelle with tomato sauce, kale, black rice, a cashew sauce and popcorn. Yes, popcorn!...
