I consume a lot of oat milk, and when I say a lot I mean a lot. I have tried making oat milk before, but I was not really pleased with the results. It was often too watery and tasted too much of oats. I wanted the oat milk to be creamy and tasty, so I could add it to my coffee or tea. Finally, I think I have found a recipe/combination of ingredients that actually tastes great. As I state above I add 5 dl of water, 1,5 dl of oats, 1 tbsp of coconut oil and a pinch of vanilla. I mix everything together in a blender and then I use a nut milk bag to strain it. I keep the milk in the fridge for a few days, so I do not make a lot at a time.
