LØS MARKET - ZERO WASTE AND PACKAGE FREE STORE IN COPENHAGEN

I went to Copenhagen yesterday. I do not really remember the last time I was in Copenhagen to be honest and there were several places I wanted to visit. Copenhagen is such a lovely city, with lots of sustainable alternatives; people bicycling everywhere and both vegan and organic options at restaurants. I just love this city!

One of the stores we visited yesterday, which was actually a first for me, was LØS Market. They actually have two stores, but we went to the one near the station. LØS is a zero waste and package free store, located near Copenhagen central station (Københavns Hovedbanegård). They make it possible for you to buy your groceries package free, and all of the groceries they sell are organic as well. LØS also tries to decrease food waste and encourage recycling.

The concept is the same as many other package free stores and the procedure to buy groceries is the same; you fill the container of your choosing (and maybe weigh it beforehand), fill it up, pay and bring it home. There are also paper bags to use if you did not bring a container. I did not have one with me yesterday, so I used a paper bag to by some of their delicious almonds covered in dark chocolate.
