VEGAN FOOD

I recently went to a restaurant in Stockholm called Magnolia, located at Södermalm. It was a friend of mine, Sofia (who is also a part of @veganstudenter) who made the suggestion. We had their lunch; I chose the vegan bao buns (one with portobello, sriracha, soy, suger peas, spring onion and coriander, the other with fried tofu, coconut sauce,...

I've found it difficult to make proper, smooth, hummus when I soak and cook dried chickpeas at home. A guy from a vegan cooking class I attend told me that they in his family usually soak and cook the chickpeas in water and baking soda(!). I went home, did my research, and decided to try. If I understand it correctly,...

As usual, I always keep my recipes very simple. I put everything except the cashews in the blender, when blended I added it to a pot and let it cook for a bit. I then added the cashews for some crunch. Don't forget to eat it with some bread, I ate it with a whole wheat bread with sunflower seeds from Kung Markatta....

This is probably my new favourite breakfast, to be honest. Not only is it healthy and filling, but it is also very easy to make. I just mix everything together in a small bowl the night before, let it sit in the fridge for about 15 minutes before I mix it a little bit more. Then it is good to...

I and a friend of mine recently visited the plant-based/vegan brunch at the Radisson Blu Hotel located in Solna, near Hagaparken. We had heard about it through social media and were very eager to try it. It was 395 SEK and our expectations were quite high since we had heard so much about it.

The Vietnamese restaurant called Mihn Mat, located right by Vasaparken in Stockholm, is a very popular spot for both lunch and dinner. It is often difficult to get a table, especially to have lunch. One of the reasons that they are so popular, besides offering excellent food, is probably that they have several vegan options on the menu. I know...

Trying to stick to a vegan diet can be hard sometimes, especially when going out to eat. Or let me put it this way; it is hard if you do not know where to go. I find it quite easy nowadays since I only send the restaurant an e-mail beforehand or ask them when I arrive. I have never experienced...

I went to NOI the other day to have dinner. Since I was not the one to choose the restaurant, I did not really know if - and what - vegan options they might have. On the regular menu, they only had a vegetarian option; a beet salad with goat cheese, spicy avocado and a cress crème. The vegan alternative was thus to not add the goat cheese....

I just love Miss Voon, so when I was invited to have dinner at Mr Voon I was quite excited. Miss Voon is more of a tapas sort of place, whereas Mr Voon serves their food in "regular" sizes. It did not say on the menu that they had vegan options, but when I asked them they told me that...
